No New Tales To Tell

No New Tales To Tell

Some of us just follow the path- writing our life story as it unfolds.
We blindly accept it as just the way it is-caving to the idea it is meant to be painful-unyielding-though perfect as a circle. And it is,– with that powerless, and apathetic reaction.

Perfect like a circle. No beginning – no end- just the blind acceptance of willful mediocrity, or non existence. No questions, no answers, no choices, or options. No results but the same ones the world has always given. NO, no, no , to any dreams-why bother? No decision, indecision, action inaction, or reaction any different than the way the wind blows. There is no uncertainty to be sure-just the same as it ever was. No tomorrows, because tomorrows never come. There is just the never-ending yesterday that is today.

Certainly no Love, or second chances.  No new characters in the drama of it all. Just the same sadness, and disqualification from the game with new characters, and their new faces or new circumstances. Yet they’re always the same ones which authored the story to begin with. And I am relieved of responsibility, willingly paralyzed by the fear of anything new. I get to stay the same- unchanged and painfully comfortable. With nothing to offer and nothing to enjoy.

Then there are the others…

Some of us won’t blindly follow the path- dictating and documenting our life story as it unfolds, but with a clear picture of what we want the story to truly be about.
We never accept it as just the way it is- and never cave in to the idea it is meant to be rewritten because of any painful events-or seemingly unyielding circumstance as presented by the world. These things only make the story more robust.

Circle of life- it goes around and comes around and we drive with our intentions and motivations. We don’t just go along for the ride. And though we are powerless to stop the circle, we learn to exert the power of the knowledge of our desires and aspirations, what works and doesn’t, and what we want and don’t want, creating action, not inaction or reaction. Apathy has no place because a willingness to believe, combined with the necessary action will develop our faith through the results we gain and share with the rest of the world. We do not deny our needs or wants, and the universal instincts for connection, love and security are simply the rules, not the rulers. We accept them, never deny them, and investigation reveals our place in the world around us. Because the instincts are natural and Universal, they are the source of our contentment and discontent alike. But a refusal to be ruled by them- to blindly accept them as the rulers, gives the guaranteed results of disharmony, and discontent. To embrace them as truths or the  willingness to investigate their truth for us is the key to contentment. It is how we become happy with what we have instead of unhappy about what we don’t. It takes the unyielding power of the circle away, and gives us the power we need to be free from ourselves.

Perfect like a circle. New beginnings – no endings just phases- just the rejection of willful mediocrity, or non existence. New questions with the will to know the answers, no answers unacceptable for they all give potential for growth, no choices, just comfortable decisions based on the truth we have been willing to see. No options because the will is out of the way, and there is intuitive response to life. NO, no, no, to any impossible dreams-why bother with the disbelief? There is uncertainty to be sure- and with it, just excitement at the outcomes, not the bondage of making them be. No tomorrows, because tomorrows never come. Today and living life to the fullest, loving, laughing and learning is all there is. There is the never-ending today that is today, and that the tomorrow is yet another gift to be used the same way. In having a tomorrow we have received already and the task is to give in return.

Certain Love, forgiveness of others and of our self, second chances because we are all human and prone to hurting and mistakes, characters to whom we should model love, and selfless living are all around us. New characters in the story or not. No sadness, or disqualification from the game because the living is the winning, and there is no game to be played. We authored the story the way we would want, just as a character in it. Not as a bystander or impetus but as a participant And I am relieved of responsibility, willingly free from the fear of anything new, and certainly free from everything old. I get to stay the same- constantly changing- growing in Love, and contentment.

What type of author shall I choose to be?
