Scars shine like jewelry.
Under the microscope of introspection.
Two opposite poles possess positive and negative.
all along the borderline between the true and false.

I sit in the chemicals Ive been told are missing,
and the poison that doesn’t exist.
In this science experiment called love,
Its what i need to survive.

I’m hoping you’ll catch something,
because i threw something at you.
It was myself and my oh so intelligent design.
It seems blind FAITH is being kept blind in favor of science.

In this science experiment called love
performed in the laboratory of Life.
Creationism, empirical evidence, and HOPE
throw off results too much. They don’t match the hypothesis.

Chemistry, endorphins, neurons, synapses-
feelings, suspicions, and assumptions-
with methodology developed for our needs.
Shatter Proof; like a glowing red beaker hit by ice water.

And like High School freshmen in Chemistry 101
We sit with our predicted results,
outlined in marbled notebooks; waiting and watching to see
through squinted, doubtful eyes sheltered by safety glass,
what we must see, to see what to believe.
