My Blues Truth

I’ve read masters from every age
and realize how much
there is for me to learn.
Painters and Poets
present my life to me
beautiful – tragic – comedy.
Ageless music and lyrics
go from my ears to my heart
flowing as lifeblood.
History, and legends
hold truth -
even my own.
There will be no Crossroads
for deals with the devil
I’ve already lived
my fair share of that myth.
